As I was reading the thread on Karmic influences I began to wonder, what lessons are learned by people with so few challenges that their lives seem idyllic? Why are there people on earth who seemingly have all the luck? Are they "plants" around whom the rest of us must maneuver? Perfect lives, beauty, jobs, families, homes, spouses without ever dealing with a crisis, loss, misery or hardship? Now I know that someone will tell me that it only seems that way, that everyone faces problems. Still, I know people who have been handed a more than reasonable amount of perfection. What can they possibly learn to make their time here valuable?

And then there are others who have been devious and cruel, yet year after year they continue to live happily and successfully. I have noticed that many of these types do not believe in an ethereal world. So two topics here.

Keadie, for your first topic..I have to say the "it seems that way" comment. Everyone DOES have their share of problems or bad experiences which they learn from. They may seem invisible to us but they are there no matter how close you are to a person you do not know their true underlying feelings especially if they are remotely negative. The reason I say this is because many times the people feeling the pain and suffering themselves even stop realizing they are feeling it because they push it away. Aiming for a almost perfect life is their personal way of covering for that pain. This may be generalizing a bit but people do things 1) to make themselves happy or 2) to avoid being unhappy. Working towards either #1 or #2 (#1 being the more positive of the two ofcourse) results in the same...a happy perfect life on the outset.

Anyway my point is that yes there are some who are much happier than others and living easier than others but problems vary in size and shape so to speak..for some the size may be a bigger issue for others the shape. We can't say their lives are perfect...and all these problems happen at differnt times in their lives. So a person living a perfect life now may have gone throught their share of pain when they were younger or they may face it later especially if they are those 'not so good people" you mentioned in your second topic..their time will come. Karma exists for a reason.

Then it's how a person deals with negativity that determines how they appear to others? Some may take things more personally and be more expressive of their unhappiness while others quickly drop the pursuit and/or brush the problem under the rug? And Karma can become visible when those buried things eventually erupt?

lol I like the way you put that.."karma only being visible when the buried things erupt" I did not mean it that literally..besides Karma does not necessarily have to be visible. Also people seeming happy does not only have to do with the way they take on life and its hardships and how they deal with it. Like I said before, many people stop being aware of the full extent of their pain and turn it into a goal oriented path..just because they seem to be doing well and living perfect lives does not necessarily mean they feel complete and satisfied as people. Their pain is subconscious. Yes you can say if its subconscious then how can it be pain but it is because- just like subconscious thoughts and feelings emerge eventually into peoples lives, so will this pain or it may have in the past.

Hope that makes sense..many will not agree but its my take anyway!
